Since retiring to Sherman, Connecticut in 1993, my work has reflected the things that make the area so special to me.
The animals, plants and landscapes have become my favorite subjects as is evident in the paintings you will find here on the Abate-Curry Gallery web site.
I studied painting in Kentucky and California, but a career in Reinsurance of some 35 years intervened. Over the years I continued to paint when time allowed, but was not able to seriously pursue my first love, painting, until my retirement. I have participated in various group shows in New York and Connecticut and currently through June 2000 I have a one woman show at McKinney & Doyle in Pawling, New York.
